There has been impasse between the Krobo Odumase residents and the Power Distribution Service (PDS) for unpaid utility bills. At stakeholders meeting yesterday it was agreed that The Power Distribution Service has waived ¢111,099,875 for residents of Krobo Odumase in the Eastern region, leaving them with ¢84,625,624.87 to settle.
As a sign of commitment to have power back, the residents have agreed to pay and some are paying their bills.
Customers who are unable to pay one off can go to PDS for debt rescheduling plan.
PDS is expected to consult senior authorities and move in to restore all transformers if the staffs are guaranteed peace to do their work within the shortest possible time.
