Mr Edwin Provencal, a technical advisor to the Minister of Energy, Mr John Peter Amewu is to succeed Mr George Mensah Okley as the new Managing Director of the Bulk Oil and Transport (BOST) Company Limited.
He has been nominated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to replace Mr Okley who resigned from the position last Friday.
Mr. Mensah Okley tendered in his resignation to the President after serving a little over two years at the state entity.
A statement signed by the Deputy Minister of Energy Minister, Mr Joseph Cudjoe, on Monday – August 26, 2019 requested the Board to take “due note and assess the suitability of Mr Provencal for the appointment accordingly.”
In a statement hours after the appointment, Chair of the BOST Board, Ekow Hackman said “Pending the assumption of office by the Managing Director, Mr Moses Mensah Assem, the Deputy Managing Director of BOST, will act as Managing Director.
”The Board wishes to assure all stakeholder and the general public that the company operations will continue uninterrupted.”
