Let’s talk bread and butter issues; not who’s best rapper – Obrafour
Share on Telegram

IT is rare to find music lovers, pundits and critics agreeing on one thing, but when it comes to who is the best rapper they agree that Pae Mu Ka hitmaker Obrafour is right up there.

And he cemented his status last Saturday, October 19, when he staged his Back to Taifa concert. The Rap Sofo as he is affectionately called left his fans yearning for more when he mounted the stage to perform for just 20 minutes.

Dressed in camouflage, Obrafour started his performance at exactly 1: 10 am with a gospel song Mo Nfa Ma No. He performed others songs including Moesha, Ohene, Pae Mu Ka, Yaanom among others.

The fans couldn’t help but scream his name when he performed Yaanom. Obrafour was on point with the live band and his performance had a lot of people showering money on him.

His interaction with the fans was awesome and watching him perform, it was like listening to him on tape, it was awesome.

Obrafour with CY Lover on stage

It was wonderful watching Obrafour perform alongside some old faces including CY Lover, Paa Dogo and Scooby Sela.

He thanked everyone for coming in their numbers to support him and asked that they show him the same support on Saturday, November 9 when the main concert takes place at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Lilwin got the crowd cheering for him

Actor/musician Lilwin also took to the stage and what a show he put up. There was no dull moment when the Wezzy empire boss took over. Performing songs such as Anointing, Ladder, Kwadwo Nkansah, Mama Boss Papa and What’s My Name, LiLwin’s energy was something else and got everyone jamming to his songs.

He elicited a lot of laughs when he paused during his performance of Mama Boss Papa and asked the fans who was uglier; Shatta Wale or him.

Fantana

Due to a technical hitch Fantana could not perform but rather chose to twerk to Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale songs on stage.

Other artistes such as Ras Kuuku, D Cryme, Keche, Guru, Kwaw Kese, Cabum, Queen Haizel, Tinny, Kofi Bee, Pastor Boy and Churchboy all performed to support Obrafour.

The last act on stage was Fameye who ended the show at 4 am with his songs Mati and Nothing I Get.

The Kri8 Band did a fantastic job and needs to be commended for their excellent work.

Security was not tight but the crowd behaved themselves and there were no incidents.
