Will Smith faces further humiliation amid his Oscars slap controversy, as the man who had an affair with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith is speaking out in a new song and rumored tell-all book.
Jada, 50, famously referred to the years-long affair with R&B singer August Alsina, 29, as an ‘entanglement’ which now features as a timely reference in his brand new track ‘Shake the World.’
‘Well, of course some s**t is bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favorite,’ August is heard singing in a snippet that he teased on Monday via his Instagram page.
Jada admitted to having an affair with August in 2020, and even had Will on her talk show Red Table Talk to discuss it in front of the world last year.
Will Smith faces more humiliation as Jada Pinkett Smith’s ex-lover August Alsina references ‘entanglement’ affair in new song and is ‘set to write tell-all book about their sex life’
It’s also been reported that August – who was only 23 when he first met Jada – is set to write a tell-all book that will go into detail over their sex life.
‘August is getting ready to sign a big money book deal which will detail his romantic liaisons with Jada,’ a source claims to The Sun.
‘He has always maintained that Will gave him permission to sleep with Jada, something they have publicly denied.’
The source adds: ‘August will go into detail about his time with Jada and will also speak about how he spent time living in homes owned by Will when he was away filming.’
‘There are several publishers bidding for the books and August is lining up the best deal.
‘He knows there are a lot of people fascinated by his story and is happy to tell it.’
Affair: It was revealed in 2020 that Jada Pinkett-Smith, 50, had an affair with August Alsina, 30, (Pictured above in 2017)
Last year, Will confirmed that he and Jada have an open relationship, admitting that she has ‘never believed in a conventional marriage’ while promoting his own memoir.
The couple made headlines in July 2020 when they addressed Jada’s affair with August on her candid talk show Red Table Talk.
She began explaining the couple met August through their son Jaden, 22, and recalled the singer, who would have been 23 at the time, was ‘really sick’ (as he battled a genetic liver disease.)
Jada said: ‘And it all started with him just needing some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state.
‘The outpouring for him from our family was initially about his health,’ she said. ‘We found all those different resources to help pull him through and from there you and I were going through a very difficult time.’
After Jada’s confession, Will admitted: ‘I was done with you,’ while Jada added that they decided to separate for a ‘period of time’.
Shocking: Jada explained she developed a friendship with August four years ago, but revealed she and Will were going through a ‘difficult time’ and had ‘basically broken up’
Face-to-face: The actress, 48, sat down with her husband for an intimate conversation on her Facebook show, Red Table Talk , where she revealed how the relationship took place
‘And then what did you do, Jada?’ Will asked, urging his wife to keep talking.
‘As time went on, I got into a different type of entanglement with August,’ Jada explained.
The mother-of-two went on to respond to August’s claim that Will gave her ‘permission’ to have an affair.
When Will pushed Jada to clarify what she meant by ‘entanglement’ she responded, ‘It was a relationship, absolutely.’
Jada continued: ‘I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken. In the process of that relationship I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside yourself.’
She denied August’s claim that Will had given his blessing over the affair and claimed they were separated at the time.
The affair sent shockwaves through the world with many turning to Will to see how the movie star would react.
The slap: Moment Will Smith stormed the stage at the 94th Academy Awards and assaulted comedian Chris Rock who had just made fun of his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Curiously, Jada had initially denied August’s claims they were an item, until she eventually confessed saying ‘there’s some healing that needs to happen… so I’m bringing myself to the Red Table.’
The Girls Trip actress used a similar ‘healing’ line when she broke her silence regarding Will slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.
Despite laughing about the incident, and going on to party the night away at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, Jada posted the following day: ‘This is a season for healing and I’m here for it.’
Meanwhile, Will continues to face the consequences over his assault of Chris Rock, with rumors that his agency CAA are divided over whether to ditch the actor.
According to an account of the incident’s aftermath in The Daily Beast, a furious debate took place within the agency over whether Smith should be dropped.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Jada ‘wishes’ Will ‘didn’t get physical’ with Chris, but isn’t ‘angry with’ her husband.
The pair – who married in 1997 and have two children together Willow, 21, and Jaden, 23 – are apparently ‘in agreement’ that Smith ‘overreacted.’
Breaking silence: August told Angela Yee during an interview last year that he usually wouldn’t discuss the affair, but he’s ‘lost money, friendships, relationships’ over the rumors
‘Well, of course some s**t is bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favorite,’ August is heard singing in a snippet that he teased on Monday via his Instagram page
Speaking to Us Weekly, a unnamed insider said: ‘It was in the heat of the moment and it was him overreacting.
‘He knows that, she knows that. They’re in agreement that he overreacted.’
They also alleged that Pinkett Smith is ‘not a wallflower’, nor ‘one of these women that needs protecting’.
‘He didn’t need to do what he did,’ they added.
The US Weekly source also said that that the couple ‘are very much protected in their own lives and do the absolute best they can to protect their loved ones’.
