The battle for Italy’s Serie A title was put to one side on Monday as AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic let his hair down on Miami beach.
The Swedish footballer went some way towards proving why he’s still competing at the highest level at the age of 41 by revealing an impressively muscular physique during his latest winter holiday.
Ibrahimovic has spent Christmas and new year in the United States as he makes the most of a welcome break in the Italian football calendar, and he appeared to be in high spirits while topping up an already golden tan this week.

The towering sportsman suggested he’s remained committed to his calorie controlled diet by showing off well defined pectoral and abdominal muscles as he waded into the Atlantic surf.
With temperatures soaring across Florida, Ibrahimovic wore a pair of heavily tinted sunglasses as he cooled off in the water, before eventually making his way back onto the beach.

Ibrahimovic used to play in the United States for Los Angeles Galaxy but early in 2021 when social injustice was a hot button issue, he clashed with basketball player LeBron James after the star striker said he did not believe athletes should be heavily involved in social issues.
At the time James hit back by pointing out that Ibrahimovic once used his own platform to speak up when he dealt with similar issues in Europe.
‘He’s the guy who said in Sweden, he was talking about the same things, because his last name wasn’t a (traditional Swedish) last name, he felt like there was some racism going on when he was out on the pitch,’ James said.

‘I speak from a very educated mind. I’m kind of the wrong guy to actually go at, because I do my homework.’
Indeed, Ibrahimovic told Canal Plus that ‘undercover racism’ caused the Swedish media and public to treat him with less respect and reverence.
‘This exists, I am 100 per cent sure, because I am not Andersson or Svensson. If I would be that, trust me, they would defend me even if I would rob a bank,’ he said.
