The head coach of Paris Saint-Germain(PSG) Christophe Galtier has confirmed one of the world’s best players, Lionel Messi will leaving PSG at the end of the season.
Since Messi moved to PSG in 2021, there has been series of rumors he will be returning to his first football home Barcelona even though he has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Galtier said; “I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. This will be his last match at the Parc des Princes, and I hope that he will receive the warmest of welcomes.”
“This year, he has been an important part of the team, always available. I don’t think any of the comments or criticisms are justified. He’s always been there for the team. It’s been a great privilege to accompany him throughout the season.” Galtier added.
Messi has 21 goals and 20 assists to his credit in all competitions this season.
Messi was expected to extend his two-year deal with the club which is worth £25m per year plus bonuses after tax been deducted but that will not be happening.
Barcelona fans are looking forward for his come back while other footballer lovers expect Messi to explore other leagues.
