Some lesbians in Abokobi have been attacked by neighbours who see their activities as illegal.
A professional woman alleged as Lesbian in the Abokobi suburb of Accra is now under attack from her neighbours who see her acts as affront to society.
The lady (named withheld) who identified herself as a known lesbian said that a squad of young men unleashed terror on her and a colleague last Sunday.
She continued that the squad beat them to pulp and destroyed some of their valuables.
Abokobi lesbians are not alone as the Teshie community has also been in the news for similar attacks on youth threatening to visit more mayhem on them if they dare openly come out and confess their sexual orientation.
The attacks on the lesbian community, she said has been incessant. ‘The guys attacked us because they said we are lesbians…we cannot even sit in public for long…,” she said.
