Black Stars forward and captain, Andre Ayew has been released by Premier League side Nottingham Forest after his loan deal with the club expired.
Ayew is amongst six senior players released by Nottingham Forest after the 2022/23 premier league season came to an end.
Other senior players released by the club include; Jesse Lingard, Jack Colback, Jordan Smith, Cafu, and Lyle Taylor.
Ayew came off the bench 12 times and played a total of 306 minutes, making 13 appearances and having no goals or assists to his credit.
Ayew joined NottinghamForest on a free transfer following his departure from Qatari side Al-Sadd.
Despite being a free agent now, Ayew has been named in Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton’s 24-man squad for the 2023 Afcon qualifiers against Madagascar on June 17, 2023.

Six academy players will also depart the club as they embark on fresh chapters ahead of the 2023/24 season: Billy Fewster, Alex Gibson-Hammond, Ryan Hammond, Nicky Hogarth, Adnan Kanurić and Lewis Salmon.
