Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan retires from active football after being Ghana’s top scorer.
The 37-year-old announced this at the 30th annual meeting of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) held in Accra.
As Ghana’s all-top scorer, Gyan has 51 goals in 109 matches to his credit.
Representing Ghana at the international level in the FIFA World Cups of 2006, 2010, and 2014, Gyan made another history by being Africa’s top scorer in World Cup tournaments.
He etched his name in history as the top African goal scorer in World Cup tournaments, having netted an impressive tally of six goals.
