The Western and Central Regions had their turn for the All Regional Games torch relay on Wednesday, 5th and Thursday 6th of June 1024 respectively.
In the Western Region, Team Gyan, as has been the norm in the other regions, paid a courtesy call on the Regional Minister, Hon Kobby Okyere Darko, who expressed his elation at the idea of developing sports and giving opportunity to all.
Amidst brass band music, spinning music and a group of okada riders leading the float, Team Gyan after receiving the blessing and support from the Regional Minister, went to town, walking through popular market areas and through some principal streets creating awareness for the All Regional Games (ARG) project.
The Western Region float ended at Connect FM where Asamoah Gyan and Chief Franklin, the coordinator for the ARG, were interviewed, espousing the purpose of the project as well as its benefits to applicants and the nation.
They both urged everyone (male and female) to cease this opportunity and register and become part of project of a lifetime
