Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race could happen as soon as this weekend, a Democratic party donor has told Sky News.
Asked by Sky’s Mark Austin if the dam had burst for the president, Whitney Tilson said: “Yes absolutely.
“I can’t see any scenario in which he remains simply because the American people have spoken.
“I’m in touch with a lot of Democratic donors and Democrats in the House and Senate and I cannot find a single person who supports Joe Biden remaining as the nominee.”
Questioned on whether it was a matter of time, Mr Tilson said: “I’m hearing this weekend is most likely.”
