Kamala Harris’s campaign says it’s raised $81m (£62m) in its first 24 hours.
It said more than 888,000 “grassroots donors” had made donations in that period.
For 60% of them, it was their “first contribution of the 2024 cycle”.
The team said the 24-hour figure was the biggest of “any candidate in history”.
It also said Team Harris has “added 43,000 new recurring donors, with over half of these recurring donors signing up for weekly donations”.
The $81m is in addition to an existing, almost $250m “war chest” which was raised “across the campaign, Democratic National Committee, and joint fundraising committees”.
