Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to be named the next Leicester City manager, The Telegraph and other sources report.
The Dutchman’s last job was as the interim head coach at Man United where he was in charge for four games, including two big wins over Leicester in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League.
Van Nistelrooy has held extensive talks with the Leicester hierarchy this week and is set to be confirmed as the new head coach before this weekend’s game against Brentford.
Ruud’s only experience as a permanent manager was in the 2022-23 season with PSV Eindhoven. He won the Dutch Cup but did not last the whole season there.
