A group by name, Alliance For Footsoldiers Advocacy (AFFA) says the heavy defeat suffered by the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) in the just-ended general elections, should be blamed on President Akufo Addo.
According to AFFA, certain decisions and indecisions of the president, eroded the goodwill the party enjoyed over the period prior the elections.
The group, an arm of the NPP, cited the president’s insistence to keep Ken Ofori Attach at post as the Finance Minister even when a number of NPP Members of Parliament had callrd on the president to fire him, keeping all his Ministers at post without reshuffle, even when Ghanaians were calling for it and other reasons, as the straws which broke the camel’s back.
AFFA posited that For. Bawumia was just a victim of circumstances, because the apathy in votes was largely against President Akufo Addo.
