The 16-year-old son of Bishop Saliva Alkali, the General Overseer of Alive Chapel International Church has been sentenced to serve a jail term of six months at a senior correctional centre.
He pleaded guilty to all 8 charges against him, including tow counts of manslaughter fornghe tragic road accident that took the lives of two pteteens.
Prior to his sentencing, Bishio Amoako’s son was remanded by the Family and Juvenile Court and was held by the Osu Correctional Center while going through prosecution for the raid crash.
Per the Police prosecutors, the going man was showing off the speed of the Jaguar F Ppace Sport, belonging to his parent, when it collided with the Acura that the victims were driving.
According to reports, Salifu Amoako’s son was driving the Jaguars with a friend to the A & C Mall, where they met other friends who were waiting in 2 other cars.
From the Mall, Bishop Amoako’s son together with his friends formed a convoy with his friends and drive through the East Legon vicinities
During proceedings at tgr Family and Juvenile Court, the 16-year-old boy initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The court then remanded him into custody, seeing to the conditions surrounding his remand and setting out specific directives fornhis custody and care.
Following the accident ,Bishop Salifu and wife, Mouha Amoako together with Linda Prempeh, a sales assistant, were arrested but later the Man of God and his wife were grated bail by an Accra High Court, to the tune of ghc 50,000 and two surities each respectively.
Linda Bonsu Prempeh, who allegedly provided the key to the vehicle involved in the accident, was also granted bail in the same amount with two sureties, without justification.
The three, have been charged with permitting an unlicensed to drive but all three pleaded not guilty to the charges as they appeared at on Wednesday October16, 2024
