Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Kwaku Baako Jnr has revealed that the much-awaited report on the Ayawaso West Wuogon (AWW) by-election violence will be released today.
On Metro TV´s Goodmorning Ghana show and monitored by Nsemgh.com, Baako through a text message said the report, which was presented to the president by the Emile Short Commission after interrogating key actors in the AWW by-election, will made public today.
It will be recalled that, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been making incessant demands for the release of the Emile Short Commission report on the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence.
The NDC’s demand comes on the back of the president’s assurance that the report will be released soon.
But on the same show, Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George posed the question as regards the exact time the report will be published; but Kwaku Baako in a bid to set hearts and minds at ease, sent in a text to confirm that THE EMILE SHORT AYAWASO REPORT WILL BE PUBLISH TODAY 13 September 2019.
The opposition NDC, who lost the by-election have failed to recognize the victor – the New Patriotic Party´s (NPP) Mauena Seyram Alhassan, who was labelled the ¨BLOODY WIDOW¨ in parliament by the minority.
