Bruno’s goal is enough for United to bag three points at the St Mary’s, making it two wins on the bounce!
More than the midfield and the attack, it was the defence that made the difference though.
Southampton tried to find the equaliser with everything they had – especially towards the end of the game. While they were unlucky on a couple of occasions, credit goes to our defence for keeping a well-deserved clean sheet.
De Gea could have done better in terms of distribution but he made some key saves later in the game, which could have potentially cost us.
All in all, a scrappy but well-deserved win for the Red Devils. We’ll take that happily!
