Workers’ Commissions, a trade union in Spain, called off its planned strike that would have affected Spain’s airport during the Christmas holidays, local media reported.
The decision came after Spain’s national airport operator AENA promised to pay the productivity bonus that had been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the EFE news agency.
In a statement, the union said the strike has been called off after their representatives held a meeting with AENA officials on Wednesday during which representatives for Spain’s main airport operator confirmed that they would pay the productivity bonus to employees.
