Jubilation As 70-Year-Old Woman Welcomes Twins [Photos]

A 70-year-old woman in Uganda successfully gives birth to twins through IVF treatment, making her the one of the oldest women to achieve such a feat in Africa.

Safina Namukwaya welcomed a baby girl and boy on Wednesday afternoon at the Women’s Hospital International and Fertility Centre in Kampala, Uganda’s capital.

Medical professionals at the hospital reported that both the mother and her newborns are in good health following the caesarean delivery.
