In recognition of an illustrious career both in front of and behind the camera, Tyler Perry received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Tuesday.
And the stars came out in full force to celebrate Tyler’s momentous achievement.
Kerry Washington was among those attending the ceremony, where she had the honor of delivering a speech.

Kerry, who was directed by Tyler in the 2010 ensemble drama For Colored Girls, arrived in a beautiful black and white ensemble, which consisted of a black lace sweetheart top and a playful A-line skirt that featured a checkerboard butterfly pattern and black trim.
She topped the look off with large high bun in her hair, ornamented with a fabulous diamond hairpin in the back of her head that said ‘Bo$$’.
Also having worked with the filmmaker on the 2013 film Peeples, Washington was speaking from experience as she introduced Perry to the audience, and truly looked honored to be a part of his special day.
Pulling him in for a warm embrace, the Scandal actress couldn’t have looked any prouder.

He wore a simple all-black ensemble, with large white sneakers and Wayfarer shades.
Big Little Lies’ Crystal Fox also came to show her love and support for the Madea filmmaker, also dressed in a black ensemble but with a denim blue duster on top.

Fox stars in the Perry-created television series The Haves And The Have Nots on Oprah’s OWN network.
The typically busy Perry is currently involved in a slew of projects as a director, writer, producer and actor.
Most notably, he is credited as director, writer and producer of upcoming BET TV series The Oval, a presidential-themed drama.
He is also directing an episode of the new comedy series Sistas.
As an actor, Tyler will next appear in the thriller-western Those Who Wish Me Dead.
