Dr. Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana Vice President of Ghana, attended The Financial Time Africa Summit to deliver a keynote address on how the administration of President Akufo-Addo is formalising the Ghanaian society by leveraging on technology and digitisation of the system to improve administrative systems and increase transparency as well as government’s commitment to deliver free senior high school education and much more.
Speaking at the summit, he enumerated some of the digitisation innovations and policies being implemented and how the policies are impacting positively on the economy like; the introduction of the National ID Cards, The Digital Property Addressing System and The Biometric National Identity and Digital Address.
The Vice President also spoke about the now Digital Drivers’ License and Vehicle Registration,Mobile Money Payment Interoperability, Drones and Decentalized Delivery of Health Services, Digitization of the Registrar General Department,Paperless Port, Digitization of Court Records and Processes.
He later opined that, The government will continue to pay attention to the micro-foundations of economic governance to make Ghana develop rapidly.
Ghana is set to be the fastest growing economy in the world this year.
