Legendary Ghanaian musician, Obrafour has hinted that, the choice of is stage name, Obrafour is the reason behind his plain undiluted lyrics in his songs.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz morning show on Hitz fm, the rapper said, ”You know, in our Akan culture, Abrafour(executionists) are known to be people who always go for the bull by the horn. They do as it’s expected of the and do not temper justice with mercy”.
”So, when i chose the name Obrafour, which resonates with the popular Abrafour we know in our palaces, I knew I had to be frank in my lyrics and always hit the nail on the head, when needed”.
Geared up for his forthcoming 20 years in the music industry concert on Nov 9 this year, Obrafour, Born Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko and a father of 3, became popular for his first ever album, ”Pae Mu Ka”, which after 20 years, is still making waves.
