Lawrence Ati-Zigi, the talented goalkeeper for the Black Stars, has received the esteemed title of Best Goalkeeper of the Season in the 2022/23 Swiss Super League.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper, representing St. Gallen, secured this recognition after being voted as the top performer in his position by the Swiss Association of Football Players, which is affiliated with FIFPro in Switzerland.
Having previously represented Red Bull Salzburg, Ati-Zigi exhibits remarkable skills, making an average of 3.5 saves per 90 minutes played. Notably, he was also honored as the Best Player in the Swiss Super League during the first half of the season.
Following Joseph Wollacott’s injury before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Ati-Zigi assumed the position of Ghana’s primary goalkeeper and has since excelled in the role.
