Medeama lost 0-3 to Al-Ahly in Egypt on Match Day 1 with CR Beloiuzdad beating Young Africans 3-0 in the other Group D matchup.

Medeama is playing in Kumasi due to a delay in the timeline of the construction of the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa.
