The All Regional Games (ARG) 2024 torch relay had a different color when Team Gyan landed in Damongo, the capital of the Savannah Rregion, after completing same at Wa in the Upper West Region.
Damongo’s reception for Team Gyan was beyond words.
The Coordinator for Damongo had assembled a crowd which was ecstatic to see the former Black Stars captain and his team.
After presenting the flamed torch,to the Sports Development Director at the Regional Coordinatimg Council Honorable Alhassan Ibrahim Jahad, the mamoth crowd led Gyan, his brother Baffour and Chief Franklin ( Project Coordinator -ARG 2024) on a float through town amidst music, dancing and jama songs.
So euphoric was the Damongo torch relay experience to the extent that, Gyan could not hide his joy than to address the milling crowd.
Flawless was how one could describe the event just as Team Gyan experienced at Kete Kraachi in the Oti Region.
